Bandung Indonesian Restaurant

Every time I am here I go to the bar area- which I would highly recommend. They have the "global noodle" menu and other food from the menu essentially at a happy hour price. They also have a bartender who is hilarious. I recently found out they make and sell their own tempeh, which is AMAZING in soups and stirfry at home. One of my favorite weeknight spots in Madison.

I've been here a few times usually just for drinks. The margarita is probably one of the best I've ever had. Julia the bartender makes fantastic drinks and is fun company.Now the food, we ordered beef pad thai, chicken fried rice, and pangist keju (cream cheese wonton) and it blew us away. Everything tasted phenomenal. We took some home for leftovers and it tasted just as good reheated. I cant wait to go back.

Our first time eating Indonesian. Very nice servers, willing to answer our questions. We had lamb satay and Krakatoa chicken, which came with a theatrical pouring of sauce onto the sizzling platter of food. The food tasted very good, if a bit sweet for our taste.
